Shifting Light

In photography, understanding how light shifts over time is essential. Since photography is fundamentally about capturing light, I wanted to train my eye to notice even subtle changes. To do this, I challenged myself to go out consistently during times when light changes rapidly—such as early morning or late afternoon—and take a photo every time I noticed a shift. Sometimes this meant shooting every hour, sometimes even more frequently. Through this process, I closely observed how light transforms depending on the time of day, the weather, and the location. I gained a deeper understanding of how natural light behaves, and how it can dramatically affect mood, color, and composition. This project helped me see light not just as a technical factor, but as a dynamic and expressive element in every image.
